Nuclear Scout

after WW2 the US Airforce where looking into Nuclear powered Aircraft in the 50's to power a super bomber designed to take nuclear bombs distance at the speed of sound. the idea got shelved due to safety of crew and weight problems. Plus the whole idea of needing a nuke bomber disappeared with intercontinental missiles. however what if this didn't happen? what kind of planes could have been made. this was the idea i was playing with with this fighter. this was an idea of a long range nuclear scout plane that could do long flight times and be agile to fly. It has the reactor away from the pilot along the wing and has lite armour to help defend against attackers but it is not built as an offensive fighter craft.
